Privacy Policy

• Phone number (used as your account identity and for login verification)
• Name and, optionally, a photo
• Written, voice, and video messages you choose to share
• Photos and videos you choose to upload
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card details)
• Basic technical information (device/browser type, IP address) for security and fraud prevention

We use your information to operate the Utter Love service: to verify your identity, deliver your messages to the people you intend to reach, process payments, moderate content for safety, and communicate with you about your account via SMS.

Until the Host releases an Experience, the Recipient cannot see anything in it. Before release, the Host can see the names of everyone who has taken part and can download the collection to prepare it. After release, the Host and the Recipient can see the messages, photos, videos, and recordings that were shared.

A Guest may choose to keep their whole contribution private. It is then shown to the Recipient only, and the Host sees just the Guest’s name. Guests see only their own contribution, plus anything the Recipient chooses to share back with them. Guests never see each other’s messages. Content held for safety review appears once it has been reviewed. Members of our team can see a message only as described under Content Review.

To keep Utter Love safe, every written message, every recording (as a transcript), and every photo and video is checked automatically by OpenAI’s safety tools. Prompts and notes a Host writes are also sent to OpenAI to be checked and translated. OpenAI does not use this content to train its models, and may keep some requests for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Our team sees a message only when the automatic check flags it or cannot process it.

Your information is stored in the United States with Supabase and is encrypted both in storage and in transit.

Utter Love is not a healthcare provider. We do not request or collect medical records or health information. What people choose to write in a message is up to them, and we treat it like any other message content.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, including your mobile phone number, to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only with the service providers who help us operate Utter Love, and only as needed for them to perform those services: Twilio for SMS delivery, Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for secure data storage, Vercel for hosting, OpenAI for automated content moderation and translation (OpenAI does not use this content to train its models and may keep some requests for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring), and Resend for notifications to our own staff only.

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Utter Love related to account access (login codes) and Experience notifications (invitations, reminders, and release notices). Message frequency varies based on your use of the service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. You are not enrolled in any marketing or promotional text program.

Your Experiences are kept so they can be revisited for years to come. You may ask us to delete your account and the content you created by contacting veronica@utterlove.com; we act on verified requests within 30 days. Copies may remain for a limited time in routine backups and in our providers’ records (such as payment and text-delivery logs) where required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations.

Utter Love is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
